Equivalent combinations of education, experience, or military service will be considered. -Three to five years of outside sales experience, preferably in dealer or distribution sales, furniture, building materials, or a related industry. -Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. -Strong business acumen and ability to interpret and act on business reporting. -Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills. -Ability to analyze territory potential, identify growth opportunities, and execute sales strategies. -Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, planning daily activities and prioritizing tasks to achieve business objectives. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); CRM experience preferred. -Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel.Description
A leading commercial furniture manufacturer is seeking a Territory Manager, Dealer Sales, to strengthen its brand and presence among dealers, designers, and end users throughout New York City. This role will identify and develop strong dealer partnerships, drive sales growth, and increase market share across workplace, healthcare, education, and hospitality product portfolios.This is a highly visible, market-facing opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who can influence design specifications, drive demand, and represent the brand as a trusted resource to customers, project teams, and industry stakeholders across the assigned territory.
Dealer sales is one of the most relationship-driven segments of the commercial furniture industry. Success depends on identifying the right dealer partners, understanding their capacity to grow, and building the kind of trust-based relationships with dealer personnel, designers, and end users that translate into consistent, long-term sales.
