Description

A leading commercial furniture manufacturer is seeking a Territory Manager, A+D Development, to build relationships within the architecture and design community in New York City. This role will develop and maintain trusted relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and industry influencers, drive product specifications across workplace, healthcare, education, and hospitality portfolios, and represent the brand at trade shows, CEU presentations, and industry events.

This is a highly visible, market-facing opportunity for a relationship-driven professional who can connect a manufacturer's products and capabilities to the needs of design professionals and their clients, playing a key role in influencing specifications and representing the brand as a trusted resource across the New York design community.

A+D relationships are one of the most specification-driven and trust-based segments of the commercial furniture industry. Architects and designers rely on manufacturer representatives who understand their process, their timelines, and their aesthetic and functional priorities, which means success in this role depends on consultative selling built on credibility and long-term relationships rather than transactional sales.
  • Three to five years of outside sales, business development, or A+D market experience within commercial furniture, dealer/distribution sales, architectural products, building materials, interior design, or a related industry strongly preferred.
  • Established relationships within the New York architecture and design community are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, develop a territory, and meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong presentation, business writing, and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to both small and large groups of clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret sales reports, territory data, and market information.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
